Stony Creek is located in Warren County New York.  While the town was first settled in 1795, the town of Stony Creek was established in 1852.  In 2010, Stony Creek had a population of 757.  This is down from its peak of roughly 1250 which happened in the early 1900s and has since never reached that number.  The town remains a place to get away from big city life and a pleasant stop for hunters either for a day trip or over night.  There are six communities in Stony Creek.
